Marbella has been selected into the top 20 finalists of this year’s best destination list, and is the only Spanish winner. The ‘Best European Destination 2022’ list is decided by the prestigious travel website European Best Destinations in association with Eden Network, created byt the EU Commission. The city will benefit from exposure to an estimated 420 million travellers via publications such as Forbes, Geo, National Geographic, yahoo and many others. Mayor Angeles Munoz stated that the city was chosen due to the quality of life, climate, sports facilities, gastronomy, and the many leisure offers in the area. The luxury property market is also expected to benefit to a great extent, given the demographic of Marbella visitors. The final winner of the top 20 will be announced on February 10th.
