An Italian company, Frecciarossa (Red Arrow), will provide high-speed trains to run along the Spanish AVEs in 2023. The transport companies Ilsa and Iryo are the first private enterprises to operate these new lines. Current testing is taking place between Malaga and Cordoba, with the intention being to connect Malaga and Madrid up to 10 times daily. These trains can reach up to 360 km/h and can carry up to 460 passengers. They are claimed to be the fastest and quietest in Europe.
