Spain’s constitutional court has announced that the law of the tax on increased land value, as it currently stands, is not valid. It is based on cadastral values that are not regularly updated, so cannot be applied. Town halls have urged the government to take action, as one of their main sources of income is put in doubt, but this looks to be good news for property owners in Spain in general.
